Le Temps des Cerises offers you the chance to pick your own Quebec grown cherries from the end of July to mid August. Give them a call for their exact dates. www.letempsdescerises.ca

Let the Jardins du Grand Portage transport you into a world of calm and peace. You will find a vast array of organic herb and vegetable gardens, English gardens, water gardens, domestic orchard and forest paths. www.intermonde.net/colloidales

Nature lovers will be elated with all the activities our region has to offer. Cycling, hiking, golf, hunting, fishing, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, birdwatching, etc. The Lac St-Pierre was classified a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. In the spring, St-Barthélemy's bird migration station opens it's doors to the public for three weekends (April-May). Witness the arrival of the snow geese, Canada ducks and other varieties of birds. Members of the Birdwatching Society of Lanaudiere are on site to help you identify and teach you about the different bird species. Telescopes are available to the public so that you may admire the birds. In winter, the snow owl has been spotted and photographed in St-Barthélemy and St-Cuthbert.
